ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: $56,364 - $62,000        

NORMAL WORK HOURS: 8:00 – 4:30 p.m.

 

SCOPE OF WORK:  The Project Engineer develops, designs, and manages various engineering/construction projects and develops city wide systems to manage the city’s civil infrastructure and insure compliance with all Federal and State Regulations.  Design includes project reports, public involvement, engineering calculations, permitting, drawing production, special provision development, bid packages, coordination meetings, and cost estimating.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSMust have advanced computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, CAD, and data base development.  Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, advanced math skills, strong work ethic, an entrepreneurial drive, and be able to work independently.

 

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum education requirement is Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of five years of practical experience in this field or a closely related field.

 

REQUIRED LICENSE:  Applicants must have or be able to obtain within 30 days of start date an Illinois class D vehicle operators license and Illinois Professional Engineer license.
