BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS

   The City of Danville has several community members who serve on advisory boards, commissions, and committees. Members of our boards and commissions are generally appointed by the Mayor, and confirmed by the City Council. All meetings of these boards, commissions, and committees are open to the public and we welcome public comments and input.  911 Board - Vermilion County Emergency Telephone System Board - 3 year terms. Meetings are second Monday of every month at 1:30 p.m.

Airport Authority - 5 year terms - Meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:30 A.m.

Board of appeals - 3 year terms - After initial terms, new appointees shall serve three-year terms of until a successor is appointed. Meetings as needed.

Palmer Arena Authority - 3 Year Terms - Meetings held 3rd Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m.

Fire/Police Board - 5 member board, no more than 3 members to be of same political party. 3 year term. Meetings held the 1st Tuesday of each month at 5:00 p.m.

Firemen's Pension Board

Historic Preservation Committee - 3 year terms - Meetings held 2nd Thursday of each month, 5:00 p.m.

Danville Housing Authority - 5 year terms - Meetings held third Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. at Mer-Che Manor

Human Relations - 4 year terms - Meetings held 3rd Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.

Library Board - 3 year terms - Meetings held the 3rd Monday of each month at 4:00 p.m.

Danville Area Planning and Zoning Commission - Meetings held first Thursday of every month at 5:15 p.m.
