Calendar of Events 2008
The Danville Recreation Division develops and runs all recreation
programs offered by the City and they oversee youth and adult activities,
facility reservations, special events and the operation of the Municipal

2008 EVENT CALENDAR
Year Around Harrison Park Clubhouse Rental $80.00 per event hour
Year Around Portable Band Stage Rental $200 - $300 per event.
January 2 Begin scheduling for 2008 Park Shelter/Pavilion and Band Stage rentals
March 3 - thru April 18 Adult Softball team registration $525.00
March 3 thru March 14 Registration for letters from the Easter Bunny (ages up to 12) Free.
March 15 Roller skate with the Easter Bunny. Illini Skateland 11-1pm $5.00 (admission, pizza, drink and surprise $2.00 extra for skate rental).
March 22 Easter Egg Hunt 10am at WDAN lot (1500 Washington Street). Grouped by ages: Crawlers to 10. Lots of Prizes. Bring your camera! Free
April thru October - Park Pavilion/Shelter Rentals. $25.00 per event.
April 14 Chicago Cubs baseball excursion tickets go on sale.
May 1 thru 23 Family Kickball team registration $45.00. Season June 2 July 28 Monday nights
May 2 thru June 5 Adult sand volleyball team registration $100.00. Season June 12 August 10.
May thru August Adult softball season. Mens, Womens & Coed-rec.
May 24 thru August 10 Municipal Pool & AMBUCS Spray Park (Garfield Park) Mon-Fri 11am to 7pm and Sat-Sun Noon to 5pm.

July check for date at later time Wrigley Field Excursion. Cubs vs ? $? per ticket, includes transportation and admission in to ball park. Bus leaves at 8am. 1:20 game start.

December 5 thru 6 Christmas Village Craft Fair Harrison Park Clubhouse. Friday Noon to 8pm and Saturday 9am to 4pm. (Free) Santa will be there on Saturday.
December 14 Municipal Band Christmas Concert at St. James Methodist 7:00pm.
Picnics and Reunions - Picnic facilities are provided throughout many of the parks in the City of Danville. If you are planning to have a picnic or a family reunion, no matter what size, call the Danville Parks and Recreation Department for reservations at 431-2382. There is a $25.00 for the the pavilion at Lincoln and Douglas Parks and the shelter at Douglas and Ellsworth Parks.
